George William Nyombi Thembo

Hon. George William Nyombi Thembo is an accomplished executive professional with extensive experience in both the private and public sectors. Currently, he is serving as the Executive Director of the Uganda Communications Commission (UCC).

Before his current role, Mr. Nyombi served as the Director of the Uganda Communications Universal Service and Access Fund (UCUSAF), a Member of Parliament from 2001 to 2015, and held ministerial responsibilities in the Ugandan Cabinet.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Social Administration, a Master of Science in Development Economics, and has specialised education in telecommunications regulation from the University of Florida, USA. Additionally, he is a Certified Public Private Partnership professional.
