
Edrine Wanyama Edrine Wanyama is the Programme Manager-Legal at the Collaboration on International ICT Policy for East and Southern Africa (CIPESA), an organisation focused on facilitating the use of ICTs to support development, poverty reduction and digital transformation in Africa. Edrine is an Advocate of the Courts of Judicature of the Republic of Uganda. He has more than ten years’ experience and expertise in advocacy and research in human rights, rule of law and democracy. He holds a Master of Laws (LL.M) from Makerere University-Uganda, a Master of Laws (LL.M) from the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, a Bachelor of Laws Degree (LL.B) from Makerere University and a Diploma in Legal Practice (Dip L.P) from the Law Development Centre (Uganda). Edrine has also undertaken leadership training with the Friedrich Ebert Stiftung Germany Foundation and in digital rights and freedoms with various key players. He is a specialist in Cyber Law, East African Community Law, Economic Integration, International Law, Human Rights and associated Mechanisms and the Law governing Not-for-profit Organisations. He is a lecturer at law in a number of universities in Uganda and has written and published widely in social, economic and political legal imperatives.
